Now in its 31st year on CiTR, The Saturday Edge is (Edge’s) personal guide to world & roots music, with African, Latin and European music in the first half, followed by Celtic, Blues, Songwriters, Cajun and whatever else fits!

Steve is originally from the United Kingdom, having settled in Canada not long before starting hosting “Saturday Edge” on CITR. There is a great 2012 online interview of Steve Edge by Jordan Ardanaz on Discorder Magazine’s website, where Edge explains his background in music and DJ career beginnings many years ago:

Americana Rhythm Music Magazine is an online and print publication focusing on Americana music. The magazine was founded in 2005 in Bridgewater, Virginia by Greg Tutwiler and focuses mostly on the music of the southeastern region of the United States.

Americana Rhythm Music Magazine features articles about “…musicians, venues, festivals, related music and Americana products … and most importantly, the home grown way of life as it centers around the art of making music….” and centers around “…Americana music, musicians, and music culture, of the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, Central Virginia, Blue Ridge, Piedmont, The Virginia Highlands, South West Virginia, the West Virginia Panhandle, and points in, around, and in between”….”not excluding…middle America, and points North, South, and West…. “

The magazine is printed every two months; current editions are available on the website, and subscriptions for printed versions (and archived online volumes) are available. You can find articles about musicians and events, in addition to the latest releases and charts information.
