This will be the eleventh year for the Clonakilty International Guitar Festival in Ireland, September 17 – 20, 2015.

The festival is hosted by the town of Clonakilty, and highlights guest musicians of all statures and their favorite instrument, the guitar. Performances and related events take place in various locations in the town.

Workshops and other educational events take place in addition to performances.

Excerpt from the festival website about their workshops, etc…:

“Clonakilty International Guitar Festival is proud to present a programme of workshops, masterclasses and seminars from some of the world’s best performers and experts, giving us a glimpse of the methods and techniques which make them so successful. This year’s educational programme will take place in the unique and charming location of the airy converted loft overlooking Spillers Lane, right in the heart of Clonakilty town. Attendees are encouraged to bring their guitars. “

The festival has established a website that not only features festival information, but also includes a YouTube link to videos titled “Case Studies” that give visitors an inside glimpse to each guitarist who will be performing at the festival.
