Susan Dilger hosts her “Southwest Americana” radio show on KNCE 93.5 FM, Taos, New Mexico.
Excerpt about the show from KNCE:
“That unique Southwest Americana sound from Taos favorites, as well as the entire Southwest region. Susan often features local musicians in-studio and shares not-to-be missed upcoming live music events from around town and the region.”
As already said, the show focuses on the local Americana, but also plays artists from a broader range, especially when showcasing artists from upcoming events in the area, which makes for a really interesting show. And if that isn’t interesting enough, consider the fact that the show takes place at KNCE, operating in an Airstream camper – how cool is that?!
Susan Dilger’s “Southwest Americana“ airs live on Saturdays, noon-2pm (Mountain Time).

This is the thirteenth year running for Michael Hearne’s Big Barndance Music Festival, to be held September 10-12, 2015, and featuring a hearty list of regional, national and world-renowned country, folk and Americana artists. The Big Barndance is the grand finale of the festival, which consists of listening-room-style performances and other activities sponsored by the festival.
Excerpt from the festival website, quoting festival founder Michael Hearne:
“Nestled at the feet of the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains, fans can look forward to experiencing some of the best Folk and Americana music around, and in addition, the natural beauty that only New Mexico can offer. Within walking distance of the festival grounds, attendees can explore the unique and vibrant culture of Taos through art galleries, local restaurants, and shops. We are honored that the Town of Taos has joined forces with Michael Hearne’s Big Barn Dance Music Festival, and look forward to the many opportunities the new location provides.
For this year’s festival I am working on a line-up of talent that includes some of the most well-respected names in Country, Americana, and Folk music as well as up-and-coming songwriters who will leave you breathless. Stay tuned for details about other activities including songwriting workshops, dance lessons, art auctions and more! “
The festival will be held at its new location, on the grounds of Kit Carson Park in Taos, New Mexico, after having spent the past decade taking place at “the Old Blinking Light Restaurant and KTAOS Solar Center on Route 150.”
